Vendhan gastropods, commonly known as snails and slugs, belong to a large taxonomic class of invertebrates within the phylum Mollusca called Gastropoda. This class comprises snails and slugs from saltwater. Most shelled gastropods have a one-piece shell, typically coiled or spiraled, at least in the larval stage. This coiled shell usually opens on the right-hand side. Numerous species have an operculum, which in many species acts as a trapdoor to close the shell.
