- I bought this to replace another cheaper air/ace torch that was leaking gas out of the valve. I always knew about turbotorch quality but I didn’t want to pay for it until now. Out of the package the quality is obvious, fit and finish is great. I did replace the hose with a longer 24 footer just because the 12 isn’t long enough for me. The self light tip is the best thing since my last raise and that sucker is HOT the PL-8A tip burns just as hot if not hotter than my A-14 and lights at the push of a button with a satisfying pop. I’ve only brazed up to 3/4 type L oxy/med copper but I have no doubt that this will easily braze 1”
