- Firstly, it arrived wrapped in only about 4 layers of plastic and bubble wrap. One of the prongs was sticking out of the packaging, completely exposed. Did not come in a box, which would have been safer for transport. However, it did arrive to me in good shape. All I had to do was bend one of the prongs back up, that had been bent down during shipping.All that being said, I’m still giving it 5 stars because IT’S ACTUAL BRASS (swoon!). It’s so rare these days to find real brass. Typically “gold” means you get the cheapy looking, spray painted, matte gold blech. This is a metallic brass, like *all that was available* midcentury. So it looks gorgeous with my midcentury Federal Glass wine glasses set. I passed over countless modern looking wine glass stands, looking for somethig that would have an authentic midcentury vibe. This is the one; as of now, it’s the ONLY one, lol.I really could not be happier, and I think the price was fair because of the quality. Also, ship time was much faster than originally estimated. Was supposed to arrive between 5/3 – 5/18, and it arrived on 4/30. Love it!
