Pretty much my initial reaction when I used one of these bits for the first time. I acquired them as I often have need to drill through 4×4 landscape timbers or larger wood occasionally. You get five, very sharp, perfectly rounded, 12 inches worth of cutting bits. They look and feel solid and they cut like butter through pressure treat. Unfortunately the case looks like it was assembled by the children of the company – as none of the hinges are straight and they are mage of interior material. Doubt the case will be around very long. Each bit is well etched and clearly marked and the threaded tip comes with a protective cap (which is a good idea, as these babies are sharp). The deep auger readily feeds dust/debris up and out of hole quite easily and bit does not get hot.PRECISE RATING: 5 (great at doing what I need, several exceptional features/characteristics, definitely buy again); (I was originally going to give them a 4 owing to the much higher price listing when I acquired them, but with the considerable reduction in price, I see no reason to dock the rating for any value concerns.)RECOMMENDATION: Highly recommend!(As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.)PHOTO INFO (photos are loaded in order, but may be rearranged when finally posted):1) Shipping box2) Storage case3) Opened case4) Close up of marking5) Rear hinge6) Front left hinge7) 5/8” bit installed in drill8) Drilling though 5 inches of pressure treated wood9) Finished hole/dust10) Completed 5 inch holeI hope you found something informative and useful in this review.
