- I am a fan of the “twisted” style of trimmer line versus the (seemingly endless) other choices. Have been using one of the big box store (think Midwest, green, and with an annoying jingle) house brands but the quality and durability seem to have slipped some over the years. Was getting to the last of my supply and though I would try this A ANLEOLIFE brand line to see if it would make a difference in my lawn care game.Out of the package it measures true to size – took several measurements with digital calipers and got consistent .094-.095 readings. The camouflage-like coloring of the line is nice in that broken/trimmed pieces don’t show up in the lawn like pieces of the florescent colored lines do.The seller suggests soaking the line for 24 hours for “moisture absorption”. I know some people swear by this and some claim it is hokum. I did not soak my line since I was comparing it to other line I have used that I did not soak.Was able to wrap about 12 feet of line on the trimmer spool (x2 since it is a dual line feed). Was a little uncooperative winding the line due to the stiffness of the line and its “memory” from being spooled for packaging/sale. Not any worse though than most other line of the same diameter I have used over the years.This line gives a nice clean trim on the lawn (tall fescue blend) both horizontally (against house foundation and retaining wall) and vertically (used along a driveway/curb/mulch beds). Does struggle a bit on heaver foliage and along the bottom of a chain link fence. Feeds well from the bump head – not too much and not too little. As far as wear / durability, after using this line for two full spools my impression is I don’t need to bump feed it any more than with the generic house brand line I formerly used but I can’t say I use less line either. Did not notice the line being more or less noisy that any other twisted line of the same diameter (.095) I have used.As many others have noted, the included line cutter is useless.Overall, I am pleased with this line and the way it cuts.
