- I’ve not always been a Bushnell fan as my previous experiences were that the products were not of good quality. When Bushnell introduced the Legend series, I think things changed. The Legend HD spotting scope is actually a packable monocular. If it’s a spotting scope, it’s a small compact one. For my application, I wanted something small enough that I could pack in for whitetail hunting. As much as I love the optical clarity of my high end euro binoculars, they weigh too much and are too bulky. Over the years I have sought to reduce my gear load. Most monoculars are cheap, low quality. The Legend HD is built solid, rubber coated, and has nice lens coatings. Low light visibility is another short coming of cheap monoculars. So far, I have been impressed with the Legend HD late evening and early morning light transmission. I also find it to have a legitimate eye piece. Finally, I thinks it’s a value for the price. It’s a great piece to add to your gear. I may update this review as I get more hunts in. Good job Bushnell.
