- This has an odd ridge running down the side, where the weave turns back on itself. It’s not symmetrical like other braided sleeving. For a nice appearance, you’ll want to turn that ridge to the backside or underside of your assembly, assuming your assembly has a side that people don’t see!Other than that, it’s great. It shrinks 2:1 in diameter and maybe 10:9 in length, slightly more length loss than comparable smoothwall tubing, but it’s not severe and you’ll quickly get used to working with it. This stuff totally jazzes up otherwise-mundane cable assemblies, adding a unique touch of class beyond its functional purpose. I wish there was a glue-lined version! [...]
