- It’s nearly impossible to talk about this product without it sounding like a dirty joke, so please get your mind out of the gutter and sit back for my genuine and true review.I’ve ordered other ice picks of Amazon before, but I found myself frustrated with the overall size of them. 6″ wasn’t enough for my needs, and the thinness of the other model I purchase often didn’t give enough strength to break tougher pieces of ice.Enter this 9″ wonder. Overall, I greatly prefer the color of this one. The metal trim in combination with the dark brown wood really has a classy aesthetic to it. I also prefer the screw method to the insertion method, in regards to sheathing the ice pick. In addition,the added length really makes it easy to break up larger pieces of ice by reducing the amount of stabbings you have to perform.With all that said, if you’re looking for something heavy duty that can really penetrate and smash up your ice, go for this one.
