12 Port CAT6a Keystone Patch Panel for Rackmount 1U10inch Network Patch Panel with Smart Cable Mangement
$ 11.90
- I bought the 12 port keystone panel with Cat6 keystone connectors. I have not yet incorporated it into my cabinet (that will happen next week), but I have connected a few things to it on my bench. It looks nice and is solid. The issues I have noted with it were pointed out in at least one review that I saw before ordering.The keystone inserts are a bit hard to change without loosening the panel with the 3 screws along the top. This is because the folded metal plate that sits about 1/4 inch in front of the keystone mounting plate interferes with the keystone insert for at least some types of keystone inserts (I discovered this with a Legrand coax keystone insert from a local big box store – it could not be inserted without removing the 3 screws, snapping it in and replacing the screws). That isn’t a show stopper, unless you expect to routinely replace keystone inserts.I also found one of the mounting ears was bent with no damage to any of the packaging (not a shipping problem). Since another reviewer noted this also, and their picture was very similar to how mine was bent, I would guess there is something in the manufacturing process that is routinely mishandling one of the ears.On the advertising side, nothing in the ad specifically said that the Cat6 patch panel included the keystone inserts, and the itemized list of what was included only listed the panel with the same text as the bare patch panel only version. I assumed that the keystone inserts were included since the price was different from the bare patch panel, and it turns out that I was right, but that could be cleaned up in the ad.Overall, I like the patch panel and it fits my needs, so I would recommend it.
